Today the message in church is one I really needed. It was titled "Seeking the Leading of God."

The primary passage was Proverbs 3:5-6:
5Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.(NAS)

God will "clear the path," so to speak. He will make it clear which way to go, but there's a part we have to play, too. Only after trusting in God's timing and perfect understanding, acknowledging that He knows better than us, then we can know God's will and submit to it.

The four major points were:
1. God leads through His Word. (Romans 12:2, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
2. God leads through the Holy Spirit. (Psalm 37:4)
3. God leads through circumstances.
4. God leads through counsel. (Proverbs 15:22, Proverbs 13:10&20)
