Sit in the Passenger's Seat

The message today in church was out of 1 Corinthians 6:12-20.

The Corinthians had a major problem with sexual sin. The verses today gave a few great reasons to not engage in such activity.

The reason that struck me the hardest was found in v. 19 and 20:

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

Remembering that God bought us out of slavery to sin should be a motivator more than anything else to flee from sin of any kind. That is another reason that this point is great: it applies to our entire lives. Living with a true understanding of that knowledge should make us want to live differently.

God should be in control.
