Temptation

Luke 4:13 And when the devil had finished every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.(NAS)

After Jesus was tempted by Satan in the desert, Luke puts this verse. I don't recall Luke directly mentioning satan elsewhere in the book, but this verse gives me the feeling that Satan tried to cause trouble throughout Jesus' ministry, or at the very least once more.

When a temptation is conquered, it doesn't go away for good, it just waits until the opportune time: when we're weak. When Satan came to tempt Jesus, He had been without food in the desert for forty days. Then Satan came to tempt Him. Just because you win once, don't get lazy.

Prov 20:9 Who can say, "I have cleansed my heart, I am pure from my sin"?(NAS)
